Winter Walk - The Shropshire Way

Winter Walk - The Shropshire Way
The Camping & Caravanning Club, 01 December 2011
Camping and Caravanning Club reporter Mark Round enjoys blowing away the winter cobwebs with a gentle walk along the Shropshire Way through the heart of rural Shropshire.?

Mark said: “One of my favourite routes on the route is from Wilderhope Manor to Church Stretton in the Shropshire Hills, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  Walking from Wilderhope alongside the impressive Wenlock Edge offers stunning views of rural countryside in all its glory.

?“The route gently weaves its way towards Acton Scott Historic Working Farm, which offers an insight into 19th century farming.  The final part of the walk is probably the most exciting as you catch a first glimpse of the picturesque village of Church Stretton, nestled in between the rolling hills.?

“The crisp air is the ideal way to burn off that excess Christmas pudding and turkey trimmings.”
